Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca, the Gateway to Morocco

Your 8-Day Morocco Tour begins at Casablanca airport, where our staff will give you a warm welcome. Upon arrival, you will be comfortably transferred to your hotel for check-in. Casablanca, the country’s economic capital, is a vibrant city that combines modernity and tradition in a fascinating mix. Indeed, here, futuristic skyscrapers stand alongside Art Deco-style buildings, a testament to the French colonial past.

Next, you can take advantage of the available time for a first exploratory walk, perhaps along the famous Corniche, the seaside promenade that comes alive at sunset. The evening is free, offering you the opportunity to choose from the many restaurants in the city to savor your first Moroccan dinner. Therefore, relax and prepare for the adventure that awaits you in the coming days. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: From the Imperial Cities of Rabat and Meknes to Fes

After a hearty breakfast, the day begins with a visit to one of Casablanca’s symbols: the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. We will admire this imposing architectural work from the outside, the only mosque in the country also open to non-Muslims at specific times, which stands majestically over the ocean. Immediately after, we will depart for Rabat, the elegant capital of Morocco. There, we will explore the most significant sites, such as the evocative Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, masterpieces of Moroccan architecture.

Later, our journey continues to Meknes, the Ismaili capital surrounded by imposing 40 km long walls. We will visit the famous Bab Mansour gate, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, the royal palaces, and the old Jewish quarter. At the end of the visit, we will head to Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. Dinner and overnight at the hotel, ready to discover the secrets of this ancient city.

Day 3: Fes, Fes – Midelt  ( the Atlas Mountains )

The entire day is dedicated to a Fes medina tour, discovering the oldest of the Imperial Cities, founded in 790. Accompanied by an expert guide, we will dive into its labyrinthine old city, a true open-air museum declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. First, we will visit the ancient Islamic universities, the Bou Inania and Al-Attarine Madrasas, and then admire the Kairaouine Mosque and the splendid Nejjarine Fountain, sublime examples of art and architecture.

Subsequently, the tour continues through the souks, a riot of colors, sounds, and smells. We will explore the artisans’ quarters, where skilled dyers, blacksmiths, and potters carry on age-old traditions. In the afternoon, we will leave the vibrant atmosphere of the city to head towards the Middle Atlas mountains. As we travel, we will cross spectacular landscapes, characterized by dense cedar forests, until we reach Midelt. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Midelt – Valle del Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga 

After breakfast, our 8-Day Morocco Tour will take us south, on a journey that will lead us to the gates of the Sahara Desert. First of all, we will cross the picturesque Ziz Valley, an immense green oasis dotted with millions of palm trees that creates a stunning contrast with the red rocks of the surrounding canyons. Then, we will make a stop in Erfoud, famous for its prehistoric fossils, where we will visit an interesting local museum.

Afterward, we will continue to Rissani, an ancient trading capital, for a visit to its lively souk. Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, where the unforgettable spectacle of the Erg Chebbi dunes awaits us. Here, we will leave our vehicle to start an exciting Sahara desert tour by camel (or a jeep transfer) that will take us, in about an hour and a half, into the heart of the dunes. We will arrive at a Berber-style tented camp, where a traditional dinner and a magical night in the desert under a starry sky await us.

Day 5: Merzouga – Gole del Todra – Valle del Dades 

Waking up in the desert is a unique experience. After admiring the sunrise over the dunes, we will have breakfast and return to Merzouga. From here, the day will take us to discover some of the most iconic landscapes of Morocco. The first stop will be Rissani, where we will visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of the Alaouite dynasty. Next, we will continue to the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with vertical rock walls reaching up to 300 meters high.

There, we will have time for a walk inside the gorges and for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, our journey continues along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” until we reach the Dades Valley. This valley is famous for its surreal landscapes, with bizarrely shaped rock formations and kasbahs that blend in with the color of the earth. Dinner and overnight in a hotel nestled in this spectacular setting.

Day 6: Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, and the arrival in Marrakech

After a delicious breakfast, our journey resumes through the Valley of Roses, famous for the cultivation of Damask roses. Then, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. The next stop on this route of the Kasbahs is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified village declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This magical place has been the setting for numerous world-famous films, including “Gladiator” and “Lawrence of Arabia.” After the visit, we will cross the high Atlas Mountains, passing the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters of altitude, enjoying breathtaking views. In the evening, we will finally arrive in Marrakech, the “Red City.” Accommodation in a charming riad. Free dinner to explore the city’s culinary options and overnight stay.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakech, the Pearl of the South

The entire day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech, the most fascinating of the Imperial Cities, with a complete Marrakech guided tour. Accompanied by a local guide, we will visit the most iconic places in the city. To begin, we will admire the Saadian Tombs, a masterpiece of architecture, the gardens surrounding the Koutoubia Mosque, and the sumptuous Bahia Palace, with its courtyards and decorated rooms.

Then, we will get lost in the alleys of the medina, exploring the colorful and lively souks, where we can admire the work of artisans. To cap off the day, the highlight will be the visit to the famous Djemaa El Fna square, the beating heart of Marrakech. As night falls, the square transforms into a huge open-air theater, enlivened by snake charmers, musicians, and food stalls. Free dinner and last night in our riad.

Day 8: Departure from Marrakech and end of the Tour

After the last Moroccan breakfast in your riad, you will have free time depending on your flight schedule. You can do some last-minute shopping in the souks or simply enjoy a final mint tea at a cafe overlooking the square. To conclude, you will be escorted to the Marrakech airport in time for your return flight.
